By default, it's smart enough to guess which type of expense they are based on the merchant, and will suggest where to sort it to. With a few tweaks and the more you teach QBO, the smarter it gets. Gone are the days of forgetting to import your expenses!

2. Track Your Expenses Easily & Automatically!

This is the powerful of cloud computing and why we would recommend QuickBooks Online to most people over the Desktop version. The ability to automatically sync your expenses and purchases from your bank allows you to track easily. What's even better is you can train QBO to learn about your purchasing habits. Simply categorize a few transactions and you might be surprised to see how quickly everything else sorts itself. Best of all, you can do this anywhere via mobile or tablet. Now you really have no excuse!

3. Collect Payment from Invoices

In 2018 this may sound like a no-brainer feature, but collecting payments online wasn't something accessible or easy to setup a few years ago. You might be thinking of Paypal or eTransfer or cheque, or if you have an eCommerce store setup, you may have integrated payment portals such as Stripe or Square. What we love most about QBO is that you can send professional invoices and collect payment, all together and fully integrated.
